Pre-admission Testing

When a patient is being admitted to a nursing facility, a chest x-ray is required to determine the presence of communicable diseases, such as TB. Also, some orders request an EKG. MMDS goes to the home of the patient performs the requested services. This expedites the process and the patient is often able to be admitted the same or next day if the results come back clear.
